Counselling via video and the phone became a widely used method during lockdown. And it is a great option for people who are too busy to travel to a counsellor, don’t feel comfortable going to an organisation, or just find ease in using this modern alternative to counselling. The sessions are the same length as a normal session.

This is a great option for someone who struggles to find an hour in a day, and instead wants to communicate via text or email. For someone that struggles sitting face to face, or doing video links this is a perfect alternative. Working from text will also mean being able to access counselling without having a private space, where people can overhear your conversation. For example had a really tough day, but you are sat on a train full of people, text counselling would be a great option for that extra support.
All of these forms of counselling will be treated with the same respect and same confidentiality as given in a counselling setting. The counsellor and client will contract what contact is available, and when it is unavailable. And each form of counselling will cost different amounts, but there is the option to have a mixture of options (for example: one week walk and talk, the next week its raining so the counsellor comes to the clients home, or they do a sessions via video link).

VR can provide a controlled space to try things that could be overwhelming or risky in real life, making it useful for exposure therapy.
VR therapy is suitable for all different reasons here is a few; anxiety, depression, phobia's, PTSD, social and emotional skills.
With VR you also have the option of Virtual therapy (If you have your own VR headset)
Virtual therapy is therapy that takes place via the phone, an app, a video chat, or even a virtual reality device.
These virtual therapy options allow people to seek treatment in the comfort of their own home, without having to travel to see a therapist in person.
How does VR therapy work?
VR therapy works by allowing people to act out, practice, or revisit situations in a safe environment. This may:
teach skills
reduce fears
improve confidence
help process something that happened in the past
By removing real-world risks, VR can also make something frightening feel more manageable. For example, a person with a phobia may not be ready to confront it in reality. Interacting with a simulation in VR may help them gradually become accustomed to the object of their fear and learn it is not a threat.
Virtual reality (VR) therapy uses a computer-simulated world as a treatment tool. A person might use it to practice new skills, face a fear in a safe environment, or become more confident in social interactions.
A number of studies have found that virtual reality therapy can be effective for managing various mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and phobias.
